In November, I was delighted to photograph Tom & Riley’s intimate wedding in London – at the city’s most popular ceremony venue, The Old Marylebone Town Hall, followed by their reception at neighbourhood bar and restaurant, The Italian Greyhound.
Tom Getting Ready at The Zetter Marylebone – Junior Suite
I began the day at the elegant Georgian townhouse, The Zetter Marylebone Hotel, capturing getting-ready moments with Tom and his family in the Junior Suite. The space was gleaming with granduer and elegance, with the golden draped curtains adding a classy and vintage look to the photos. Tom’s family had a warm and fun energy, which made for some lovely group photos.

Riley Getting Ready at The Zetter Marylebone – Lear’s Loft
After spending some time with Tom and his family, I headed to Lear’s Loft to join Riley, her bridal party, and her family for some final getting-ready and group photos. A larger space with similar characteristics and colours throughout, buzzing with even more energy as Riley was surrounded by a much bigger group—her best friends, favourite people, and closest family. You could feel the love radiating around the room. There was so much laughter and genuine happiness that made for some lovely photos.

Travelling to Old Marylebone Town Hall
Whilst making our way to Old Marylebone Town Hall, I witnessed some really sweet moments Riley shared between her closest friends in the Uber. On a wedding day, the most impactful candid moments come from quiet, seemingly mundane parts – like a car journey, an interaction with a grandparent or warm embrace from your guests. What was only a 10 minute car journey, showed years of support and connection Riley had with her friends, encouraging her and supporting her every step of the way.

The Westminster Room – Intimate Ceremony
Tom and Riley’s ceremony took place in the classic Westminster Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall—a grand, dark-wood-panelled space that that exuded timeless elegance and intimacy. The room was filled with the warmth of their closest family and friends, creating a beautiful, intimate atmosphere as they exchanged vows.

Confetti and Fun Family Photos
Before heading to The Italian Greyhound for their evening reception, Riley and Tom joined their family and friends on the steps outside the town hall for confetti and family portraits. It was heartwarming to see everyone celebrating together, making a real effort to be part of the photos for Tom and Riley. The only available spot for group photos at the town hall is right in front of the building, next to a public path and main road, which can make it tricky to coordinate with 60-80 guests. It’s a balancing act—getting everyone into the photos without taking up too much space or leaving guests feeling like they’re just waiting around. But we worked quickly and efficiently, which kept things moving smoothly, and the guests were more than happy to follow direction and have fun with it.

Couple Portraits – Salisbury Place, Marylebone
After waving goodbye to their guests, I spent time with Tom & Riley within the town hall and surrounding area to capture their couple portraits. The cloudy and bright weather made for soft, balanced lighting leaving little opportunity for deep shadows and bright highlights – but overall made for some wonderfully even and natural photos.

Evening Reception at The Italian Greyhound
Nestled in the streets of Marylebone, neighbourhood bar and restaurant The Italian Greyhound was Tom & Riley’s choice of venue for their drinks and evening reception space. The cosy, intimate ‘Garden Room’ housed all of their family & friends and really made for a modest and homely event. During this time we heard speeches from Tom & Riley themselves, alongside hilarious and touching speeches from their parents and in-laws.

Dancefloor & Cake Cutting Moments
Closing up the evening with one of the best combos of the day – cake and dancing! Tom & Riley kicked off their first dance in style, joined by all their family and friends on the dance floor. It was so lovely to see everyone having fun, singing and dancing together, which made for some lovely core memories all round. As the night went on and more guests arrived, the drinks kept flowing and the dancefloor stayed busy.

Intimate Weddings in London
It was such a pleasure being part of Tom & Riley’s wedding and goes to show that even the smallest, most intimate venues can house the biggest emotions and deepest family connection. Delighted to have been part of their wedding day and would recommend anyone looking to celebrate that wedding day within the bustling city of London, to look between the big venues and grand estates for the small, unassuming neighbourhood resturants and bars that can truly make for a unique and intentional experience.
