On a crisp December day in the heart of the city, Evan and Dayna’s loved ones gathered from all corners of the UK and beyond to celebrate their wintery elopement in London. Whilst Evan, Dayna, Otter 🐶 and their friends travelled from Cardiff; Evan’s family flew in from America and Dayna’s family travelled down from Nottingham. Their elopement morning began in one of London’s most romantic settings—the iconic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

First Look Moments Romantic London Elopement

I met Dayna in her hotel room early in the afternoon, where we excitedly captured a few quick photos of her before heading to the grand staircase for her first look with her soon-to-be in-laws—and, of course, Evan. A stunning location for such a special moment, the staircase is framed by grand marble arches, elegant leading lines, and rich, statement colours. Renowned as a filming location for Harry Potter and James Bond, this timeless setting holds both history and creative depth, making it the perfect backdrop for such a special moment.

Before Evan arrived, his parents shared a first-look with Dayna and it was so pure and genuine. They were both beaming with so much joy and pride and admiration. Afterwards, Dayna headed down the grand staircase to be greeted by Evan who instantly lit up, pulling her in for a big embrace and a romantic spin observing her dress with awe.

Festive Wedding Portraits at The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

After their first look, I spent a short time with Dayna & Evan to capture some portraits in and around the marble arches and on the stairs. It was so lovely having the Christmas trees and their lights fill the space, adding deep green and gold tones to the photos—perfectly complementing the gold leaf on the red wallpaper.

Candid Moments at Old Marylebone Town Hall

We soon headed over to the Old Marylebone Town Hall for their ceremony. We arrived early and were able to take some more couple portraits in and around the town hall before they attended their joint interview. It was the perfect opportunity to get creative with flash, capturing intimate, editorial-style photos that added a unique and personal touch to their day.

Ceremony in The Soho Room

Evan and Dayna’s ceremony took place in The Soho Room; an intimate and relaxing space, perfect for holding up to 13 guests for elopements and civil ceremonies alike. As they walked in to the acoustic version of ‘Accidentally in Love’, their families watched on with big smiles and teary eyes. A short but sweet ceremony, filled with laughter, joy and excitement.

Confetti and Family Portraits

After their ceremony, we headed outside to make the most of the afternoon light to capture some wonderful confetti moments alongside some family and guest photos. I had to include this confetti shot as a gif because it was too good not to share – the more confetti, the better!

Intimate Elopement Portraits in London

As the day began to wind down, I stayed with Evan and Dayna at Old Marylebone Town Hall to capture a few final portraits. We made the most of the stunning architecture, using the elegant columns and stairs to add depth and movement to the images. The space really helped to bring out their emotions and excitement. Afterward, we headed back to the hotel, where we wrapped up the afternoon with a few more intimate moments – this time, with Otter!
